The hot cracking susceptibility subjected the laser beam oscillation welding on 6XXX aluminum alloy with a partial penetration joint

چکیده
A laser beam oscillation method using Galvano mirrors, which allows wide weld beads and controls thermal stress distribution, was suggested to suppress the formation of solidification cracks in welds. In order understand cracking behavior relation bead shape, welding performed under various widths frequency conditions. To evaluate effect parameter on susceptibility, a regression analysis based shape performed. Stress distribution generated during process also analyzed finite element modeling simulation. From results, it demonstrated that high shrinkage field at bottom partial penetrated suppresses cracking.

Effect of Welding Parameters on Hot Cracking Susceptibility
The varestraint cracking test was carried out to assess the hot cracking tendency of alloy 800 at different welding conditions and augmented strain levels. The test results revealed that the hot cracking susceptibility of alloy 800 increases with increasing the heat input and augmented strain levels. This emphasizes the role of constraint either internally induced or externally applied to the w...

In the present study, effect of current, welding speed and preheat temperature during FB-TIG welding of AA5083 aluminum alloy was studied. Using the Taguchi method, 9 different tests were designed to investigate the effect of welding parameters on the penetration depth. Consistent with predictions, increasing the current and preheat temperature, and reducing the welding speed led to an increase...

متن کاملAnalysis and Comparison of Friction Stir Welding and Laser Assisted Friction Stir Welding of Aluminum Alloy
Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a solid-state joining process; i.e., no melting occurs. The welding process is promoted by the rotation and translation of an axis-symmetric non-consumable tool along the weld centerline. Thus, the FSW process is performed at much lower temperatures than conventional fusion welding, nevertheless it has some disadvantages. Laser Assisted Friction Stir Welding (LAFS...
متن کاملFabrication of synchronized hammer peening with pulsed laser welding and its effect on 6061 aluminum alloy weld
The non-continuous laser beam in pulsed lasers allows the mechanical peening between two consecutive beams on a still hot weld bead. At a very short time (20, 150 and 300 ms) after laser pulse application, mechanical peening was performed on the welding bead. To achieve these short times, the light sensor detects the nth laser pulse and the mechanical arm starts moving. Upon reaching the tip of...
